Bachelor's degree in nursing required
5 years of experience, which includes: 3+ years of performance improvement/ regulatory work experience and
2+ years of experience leading work groups Experience using MS~Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Communicates effectively
Desire to learn with strong intellectual curiosity
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team
Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve
Knowledge of basic statistics
Customer service orientation
3+ years of work experience with databases
Ability to work independently with some supervision
Meets all requirements and maintains IL RN licensure

CPHQ required or obtained within 12 months of hire May travel outside Illinois for conferences and occasional local travel

Must be available after hours if needed None

Oversees the day~to~day operation of the Performance Excellence Department. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a data quality program for the organization. Assists in the management and of the hospital~wide performance improvement program, including the ALGH Quality Management Oversight Committee.

Serves as a clinical quality resource and internal consultant to the inpatient~nursing units, clinical support services and members of the medical staff. Implements clinical quality tracking and reporting tools to enable the analysis of data relating to key indicators of clinical outcomes. Partners with designated areas in data collection, analysis and reporting of quality and performance improvement data. Participates in process improvement teams and in the development strategies to improve clinical processes, patient health outcomes, regulatory compliance and the cost~effectiveness of care.

Educating and Training: Effectively communicates with and responds to customers and team members, providing knowledge transfer and information.
Regulatory Compliance: Partners with the Director, to coordinate all survey visits, both unannounced and scheduled, by regulatory agencies.
Operational Implementation: Collaborates with the Director, to oversee the hospital~wide performance improvement program for Hospital.
Measurement: Collaborates with the Director to work with other leaders in defining, validating, and managing measures and data related to safety, quality, service, and population health. Develops and maintains knowledge in measure definition as the cornerstone for reporting.
Reporting: Collaborates with the Director in creating documents and reports that clearly present data and information for associates and leaders across the site, community and system levels in the organization.
