ACL Laboratories, part of Advocate Aurora Health was formed via a merger of several established laboratories, ACL continues a 40-year tradition of providing a full range of lab services.  We are able to draw on the resources of two major health care systems which uniquely positions us to provide superior service on a wide range of clinical and analytical testing, including molecular diagnostics.  We also offer 24-hour turnaround on most routine lab tests - including toxicology, environmental, and specialty tests.  Our staff includes board-certified pathologists, PhD chemists and microbiologists, registered medical technologists/technicians, cytotechnologists, histotechnicians, and specialists in information technology.


Serve as managing operational supervisor in the fast paced Molecular Pathology Laboratory. Incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all technical and administrative functions in the  Molecular Lab, for the evening and night shift, to ensure prompt and accurate testing and reporting of results for clinical laboratory samples within established timeframes. 



  • Baccalaureate degree in laboratory science or related degree.
  • Minimum five (05) years full-time laboratory-related experience within the last 10 years under board -certified pathologist. 
  • Supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting highly desirable
  • Certified as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP Board of Certification, American Medical Technologists, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate in all situations, and articulate knowledge of topics under discussion.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet established timeframes.
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations, maintaining professional composure at all times.
  • Ability to build a highly cohesive and functional team.
  • Excellent knowledge of procedures and equipment used in sections supervised.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Familiarity with fundamental statistics of quality control in the laboratory.
  • Familiarity with fundamental regulatory standards of accrediting organizations such as CAP, OSHA, and other agencies.
