This position will primarily be Monday - Friday  4am -12:30 pm with rotating weekend on call coverage.

 

Position Requirements:
High School Graduate with 3~4 years experience using computer software and phlebotomy experience.
OR Associates degree and 1~2 years experience using computer software and phlebotomy experience.
Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
Good oral and written ommunication skills
Proficient in creating spread~sheets
Strong organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work with diverse teams and individuals.
Phlebotomy certification: PBT (ASCP)/NPA/ACA/NHA/NCA
NCMA certification also acceptable.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations.
Ability to handle crisis situations.
May be required to switch shifts in order to meet departmental scheduling needs (ie. Off~shifts, Weekends, Holidays)
Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and environment.
Ability to work at a pace sufficient to complete assigned workload daily.
Ability to work closely with the associates, Supervisors and ACL Leadership Team.
Requires Excellent Customer service skills when communicating with internal customers and outside agencies.
Hazardous chemical exposure and contact with infectious biological specimens and sharps are experienced on a daily basis.
May be required to commute to multiple Ambulatory or Hospital Sites.
When direct patient contact occurs, there may be lifting requirements as outlined below.


Ability to lift medium~up to 20~50 pounds occasionally and/or 10~25 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and to use keyboard extensively.

Purpose:
Coordinates staffing utilizing available support staff. Collaborates with, Supervisors for utilizing and maintaining the API Laborworkx Scheduling System. Performs data collection and assists in the creation, generation and distribution of productivity and utilization. Responsible for appropriate utilization of outside Agency personnel. Responsible for taking calls from associates during assigned times. Training and other duties as assigned by Illinois Ambulatory Supervisor Team.

Accountabilities:
Coordinates Staffing within the Illinois Ambulatory Department.
Maintains the API Laborworkx Scheduling System
Responsible for Data Collection/Report Creation and Generation
Responsible for Appropriate Utilization of Outside Agency Staff
Responsible for assisting leadership in training new and established associates, including but not limited to performing direct observations other duties as assigned by leadership.
