Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field.
8+ years of work experience
5+ years of data warehousing experience or SQL development experience
2+ years relevant experience with Business Intelligence/Analytics Solutions
2+ years experience working with ETL or MDM tools
Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server database architecture and development (physical and logical)
Strong SQL querying skills including stored procedures, triggers, views
Familiarity with project planning and management
Strong understanding with SQL Reporting Services, ETL tools
Strong understanding of Enterprise Master Data Management Systems
Experienced with networking fundamentals and database normalization concepts
Experienced in application development, data modeling, and data requirements analysis
Ability to capture and read system diagnostic information in order to diagnose and resolve performance issues
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and deploy backup and recovery tests
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team
Customer service orientation
Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently with some supervision
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Familiarity with Data Governance and Data Lineage
Ability to build technical roadmaps and guide teams
Familiarity with Big Data Analytics

Advocate Physician Partners Information Services (APPIS) department provides reporting and data systems to support safety, quality, service, and population health initiatives within Advocate Health Care. The Enterprise Data Warehouse within APP serves as an integrated platform to provide system~wide Data. In addition to APP's enterprise data warehouse APPIS is responsible for the HealtheIntent data platform which encompasses data from many different sources. This enterprise warehouse includes both administrative and clinical data. This includes Payor data, enrollment, medical claims, pharmacy claims, several different EMRS, Lab, and home health data. The Senior Data Warehouse Architect will design and implement the data warehouse solutions that support strategic organizational goals and initiatives, Population Health, Advocate Care Index, Cost and Utilzation and online reporting. The Senior Data Warehouse Architect will work within a SQL server infrastructure using SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and Tabular Model. In addition the Architect will work with SAP, and build different data models and sets within HealthIntent. The Architect will also leverage existing API's to transfer data from external sources to APPIS. This position is responsible for creating and updating technical standards, developing and maintaining the availability, security and performance of the data warehouse and facilitates the planning of proposed and actual projects in terms of scope, feasibility, and impact. This position includes not only designing data solutions but also developing data solutions in SQL and other languages such as Python, Java Script and R. This position works on teams to facilitate and drive efficient data mining, analysis, and system~wide reporting. This position provides training and educating to junior members of the team and other Advocate associates and leaders.
