Position Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related health care fields, or equivalent experience
  • 10 years experience in health care (preferrably managed care)
  • 5 years managerial experience
  • Broad based knowledge and competency in both hardware and software applications and systems in a clinical department and/or integrated delivery system environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Staff management experience
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven systems implementations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to implement and execute operational infrastructures to administer Federal and State Coding and payment compliance.

Purpose:
The Manager of Medicare Compliance and System Implementation is a highly visible position within APP's Management Team. Manager of Medicare Compliance and System Implementation provides leadership in the implementation of APP Medicare Advantage Plan and Medicare Shared Savings Plan in physician office practices and within APP. Implementations will range in size and scope from enterprise-wide, mission critical applications to medium and large implementations affecting multiple Advocate physician partner's facilities and departments. Projects and implementations will include significant upgrades to existing software as well as the implementation of complete information systems. This position is highly technical and is responsible for managing and creating custom rules, updates, testing and problem solving within the various coding systems (Burgess,Optum(iCES/PPS) Softwares).

Accountabilities:

  1. The APP Medicare Claims Compliance and System Implementation Manager is held accountable for leading APP and Advocate enterprise-wide, multi-site PHO/Advocate Medical Group application and implementation projects that are large in scope, highly visible, and that deliver significant improvement to Advocate's functional business and clinical areas.
  2. Accountable for leading medium to large projects within or across multiple Advocate PHO sites and Advocate Medical Groups, Burgess Group, GE, Optum Insight, CureIS and CMS applications that deliver improved processing and a competitive advantage to Advocate's functional business and clinical areas.
  3. Responsible for the technical and business growth of the members of the project teams throughout the life of a project and or implementations.
