Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Education, Health Care Administration, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in EHR education and adult classroom training.
  • Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in EHR training.
  • Broad knowledge and competency in Electronic Health Records, Epic preferred.
  • Workflow knowledge in ambulatory care/provider practice settings.
  • Classroom management and curriculum development.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with multiple tasks.
  • Establishes good working relationships with physicians and practice staff.
  • Occasional out of town travel required.
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours required.
  • 24x7 on-call support rotation.
  • Occasional onsite practice visits.

Manages and coordinates Epic Community Connect (ECC) Training Program to Advocate Physician Partners (APP) providers and practices including overseeing the development of ECC training curriculum. Manages team of Credentialed Trainers focused on delivering and maintaining a high quality ECC training program. Incorporates standard methodology and customer satisfaction within the training program, and provides communication and support of the APP members.


  1. Manages ECC training team that is responsible for providing training for APP end users including physicians, practice managers, clinical staff, scheduling/registration and billing staff on Epic Community Connect suite of products including but not limited to Prelude, Cadence, Ambulatory Care, Resolute ProFee Billing, MyChart and appropriate interoperability functionality.
  2. Designs, implements and oversees the ECC training program to ensure detailed training documentations and education tools are consistent with APP/AAH standards. Develops, designs, and oversees curriculum development for hands-on new APP member training, accounting for clinic/practice departmental training requirements, need for custom training for unique workflows, system changes, upgrades and new modules/functionality.
  3. Interfaces with training teams to ensure training tools are prepared and ready for training including training guides, development of practice scenarios, creation of test patients and users in training environment. Collaborates with Credentialed trainers to identify areas of improvement in ECC training program and takes necessary steps to enhance the learning experience of end users.
  4. Works collaboratively with Advocate Aurora Health resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of ECC education for APP providers and practice staff. Leads efforts and collaborates with Credentialed trainers, Principle trainers, HIT and Community Connect leaders to ensure training environment, user issues and curriculum are effective in meeting APP members' education needs.
  5. Facilitates communication with end user groups, team members, and leadership to provide an overall vision for the ECC education/training platform. Serves as liaison between APP training team and HIT teams to ensure that knowledge is shared with the ECC training team.
