EMR Trainer


FULLTIME (40 hours per week)

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science, or
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Education, or
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Health Care Administration.

Experience Required:
Typically requires 3 years of experience in EHR education and adult classroom training.
Broad knowledge and competency in Electronic Health Records, Epic preferred.
Workflow knowledge in ambulatory care / provider practice settings.
Classroom management and curriculum development.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to be flexible with multiple tasks.
Establishes good working relationships with physicians and practice staff.
Occasional out of town travel required.
Occasional weekend and evening hours required.
24x7 on~call support rotation.
Occasional practice onsite support.
Exposed to a normal office environment.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Must have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
May be exposed to blood and body fluids therefore, personal, protective equipment must be worn as necessary.

Directly involved in the support and promotion of the ECC Program to APP providers and practices, developing curriculum and providing training for APP members. Responsible for quality of the ECC training program delivery within standard delivery methodology, customer satisfaction with the training program, and communication and support of the APP members.

Provides training to end users on the appropriate use of Epic Community Connect suite products to support ambulatory practices including but not limited to Prelude, Cadence, Ambulatory Care, Resolute ProFee Billing, MyChart, and appropriate interoperability functionality.
Develop, design, and update curriculum for hands~on new APP member training, accounting for clinic/practice departmental training requirements, need for custom training pertaining to unique workflows, system changes, upgrades and new modules/functionality.
Ensure training tools are prepared and ready for training including training guides, development of practice scenarios, creation of test patients, and users in training environment.
Assess users response to training and identifies users that may require additional education/training. Makes appropriate recommendations to end users to improve their training progress.
Works collaboratively with AAH resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of ECC education for APP providers and practice staff.
Collaborates with principle trainers, HIT, and Community Connect leaders to ensure training environment, user issues, and curriculum are effective in meeting APP members' education needs.
Collaborates with end user groups, team members, and leadership to provide education/training support for operational changes and projects that could impact the Epic platform and Community Connect users.
Maintains training database to track all training session attendance.
Ensures that training classroom is set up and taken down at the beginning and ending of training sessions (If applicable).
