EMR Process Specialist


FULLTIME (40 hours per week)

Position Requirements:
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field, or
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Health Care Administration or related field.

Experience Required:
Typically requires 3 years of experience in Epic Clinical and/or Revenue Cycle as a trainer or coordinator is required in EHR, IT and/or Ambulatory care setting.
Must have EHR workflow analysis experience and pre/post implementation experience supporting practice staff.
Must havegeneral knowledge and competency in Electronic Health records, Epic preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge in Ambulatory Care/Provider practice settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of how clinical, revenue cycle and other modules interact in an enterprise EHR solution.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with advanced knowledge of clinic processes and workflows.
Ability to be successful a dynamic environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels.
Ability to establish good working relationships with physicians and practice staff.
Occasional weekend, evening hours, and out of town is required.

Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
This position requires travel so will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

The EMR Process Specialist will be directly involved in the needs assessment, gap analysis of current/future state workflows and that support the roll~out of the ECC implementation program to APP providers and practices. Responsible for the workflow assessments for the ECC program delivery following standard methodology with focus on customer satisfaction, communication and support of the APP members. Supports Advocate Aurora's strategic initiative to develop an integrated platform to support Population health, Epic Community Connect (ECC) EHR will be made available to APP provider members and practices.

Provides onsite workflow analysis and identifies future state workflows. Processes redesign needed for APP providers and clinical and revenue cycle end users on the appropriate use of ECC suite of products to support ambulatory practices including but not limited to Prelude, Cadence, Ambulatory Care, Resolute Professional Billing, MyChart and appropriate interoperability functionality.
Assess users response to current and future state workflow changes and identifies users that may require additional education/training and support.
Makes appropriate recommendations to end users to improve their pre~implementation progress.
Educates practice staff on new workflows that may improve operational efficiency based upon AAH's best practices and standard workflows.
Collaborates with Principle trainers, HIT and Community Connect leaders to ensure pre~implementation workflow and/or process issues are reported and resolved effective in meeting APP members implementation needs.
Collaborates in partnership with end user groups, team members, and leadership to provide ongoing support for operational changes and projects that could impact the Epic platform and Community Connect users.
