BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ARCHITECT 

Site:- Advocate Physician Partners – Rolling Meadows, IL

Status: Full time exempt (40 hours per week) REMOTE

5 years of experience in Epic Cogito and/or Business Intelligence Tools

Position Requirements:
Education Required:
Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Business Administration or
Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Business Analytics or
Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Actuarial Science or related field.

Experience Required:
Typically requires 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence.
Demonstrated success working with health care data, including physician and hospital claims, pharmacy claims, lab results and electronic medical record data.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with business intelligence systems, data bases, and data models.
Knowledge of basic statistics.
Expert ability to create queries in SQL or other query languages/systems.
Expert with visualization software (e.g. Tableau or Power BI).
Proficient with MS~Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Demonstrates critical thinking, ability to problem solve, and is results oriented.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Demonstrates ability to lead a team and achieve goals on complex projects.
Competent application of data project management skills.

Purpose:
Responsible for designing data models that efficiently organize cloud~based data for analyst discovery, establishing and documenting standards for complex data architectures, designing and building reports and visualizations that expose actionable insights to the organization, and leading the BI development function of the team. This position requires an organized individual with a strong attention to detail, experienced in building data structures that optimize reporting capabilities. The Senior BI Solutions Architect will work directly with stakeholders and executives in an agile environment to define, design, build, and deliver data and reporting systems. This position participates as a data expert on an advanced analytics team, coordinates and prioritizes big data reporting projects, and provides oversight, training, and mentoring to business intelligence developers and analysts.

Accountabilities:
Oversee and coordinate the evaluation, planning, and implementation of system~wide projects related to cost and utilization reporting and business intelligence systems.
Standardize and implement robust reporting practices that provide actionable insights, design and build data models and marts that provide an efficient platform for reporting and querying.
Demonstrate expertise and implement standard practices for visual displays of quantitative and qualitative information.
Assume lead role for the execution of standard data modeling and reporting practices from cloud~based data platforms champion data quality, integrity, and reliability.
Prioritize reporting and data requests, efficiently allocate and coordinate business intelligence developer resources.
Assist executives and other leaders on how to interpret report findings and data.
