Advocate Medical Group is a physician-led medical group providing primary care, specialty services, medical imaging, outpatient services and community based medical practices throughout the Chicagoland and Bloomington/Normal.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or related experience
  • 6 + years experience in registration or scheduling and/or scheduling
  • 3 + years supervisory experience in health care setting
  • Previous Epic experience
  • Medicaid experience 
  • Advanced PC skills
  • Knowledge of insurance and managed care regulations.
  • Knowledge of Advocate contractual agreements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements: IDPA, IDPH, Accrediting Organization etc
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment with a high level of empathy, tact and poise
  • Knowledgeable regarding VFC program
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to mange multiple assignments concurrently
  • 24 hour/7 day per week accountability
  • Candidate must be highly customer service oriented
  • Ability to travel locally

Responsible for the management and coordinateion of operational and functional activities of Patient Access Services. Accountable for the oversight and the assessment, monitoring, evaluating functions required to improve patient access processes, including registration, throughput and VFC program management.

Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations governing the patient intake processes and VFC program requirements. Collaborates with physicians, outpatient/inpatient departments and other health care professionals, in resolving interdepartmental issues which will improve the processes of the Patient Intake Department.


  • Manages the operation of pediatric outpatient registration and functions to assure optimal processes, which maximize patient satisfaction and departmental needs. Responsible for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Oversight of Vaccines for Children program including assisting with new site set up, resource for sites currently enrolled and monitoring of current workflows to ensure compliance with program regulations.
  • Responsible for effectively managing 'front-end” operations integral to the revenue cycle, such as time of service collections, receipt of co payments, accounts receivable, insurance eligibility and other revenue goals.
  • Accountable for collaborating with site managers regarding front desk staffing needs and human resource functions. Responsible for budget management and performance and fiscal oversight of all areas of responsibility.
