Outpatient oncology infusion center,  serving  25-35 patients per day for chemotherapy infusions, blood transfusions, injections and will also serve non oncology patients for infusion. The position consists of 20% patient care, and 80% leadership responsiblities.

The infusion center is open 7 am -5 pm Monday through Friday, may occasionally stay late as patient need dictates. 

May be required to work weekend hours for antibiotics and fluids as needed.

This department is staffed by 8 nurses (including prn) in the infusion center as well as two secretaries.

The ideal candidate will have oncology/chemotherapy experience, be a high performer with leadership potential. 


Position Requirements:

BSN preferred, ADN with agreement to enroll in BSN completion program in two years to be completed in five years.
3 years clinical experience.
Demonstrated leadership.
Custom orientation, planning/delegation skills, basic team building skills, good communication skills (written and oral), utilization critical thinking in a timely manner. Current Illinois RN license N/A

Provides nursing care to patients by demonstrating nursing knowledge through the application of the nursing process.

Manages, directs, and evaluates nursing practices to support and develop personnel in the provision of nursing care. Facilitates management process on the unit. Collaborates with physicians, families, and other healthcare disciplines to assure optimal patient care.

Demonstrates the ability to access the patient in a systematic way promoting level of self care documents patient assessment and teaching.
Plans nursing care based on nursing principles and documents according to policy and procedure.
Provides nursing care for optimal levels of self care, and documents according to policy and procedure.
Demonstrates the ability to evaluate and revise plan of care according to policy and procedure.
