The Vice President Business Development, Chief Strategy Officer of Advocate Children's
Hospital (ACH) will provide the overall strategic leadership by planning, organizing and
directing services, programs, planning and business development relative to the Advocate
Children's Hospital as well as system wide pediatrics operations. Additionally, will lead
comprehensive service line strategy, development and management as well as market and
engage non~Advocate hospitals, community organizations and other healthcare providers to
provide pediatric services in collaboration with the Advocate network. These services can
include satellite pediatrics as well as appropriate referral chains for pediatric sub~specialties.

Leads strategic growth initiatives for new and existing services, promotes and markets services, increases market share, manages finances, directs operations and develops and strengthens
physician relationships. Responsible for strategically aligning the activities of the portfolio of all pediatric~related services and departments throughout the system with Advocate Healthcare's long~term strategy.

This position will play a key role in strategically developing a framework for a nationally
recognized Advocate Children's Hospital center of excellence that provides exceptional
compassionate patient care related to the diseases or disorders.

As a key member of the corporate business development office, the position will identify,
evaluate and drive implementation of strategic partnerships, mergers/acquisitions and other
system~level transactions, and will partner with the Senior Vice President and/or system Chief Executive Officer with planning, evaluation and implementation of system network
development strategies including mergers/acquisitions, strategic partnerships and affiliations, and new market entry strategies.


Position Requirements:
Master's degree in relevant field is required

10+ years leadership experience in a healthcare business development and strategy roles. Preference for experience in a pediatric healthcare environment.

Demonstrated success in evaluating and driving implementation of strategic partnerships, mergers/acquisitions and other

system-level transactions.

Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment

Strong financial acumen

Demonstrated success in delivering results in a healthcare setting.
Strong communicationproblem solving skills
