Team Lead Environmental Services (Emergency Department) – Environmental Services - #177592

  • Day Shift: 7am – 3:30pm
  • Full Time: 40 hours per week
  • This position does work rotating weekend and holidays.


JOB SUMMARY: To provide leadership and supervision to the Environmental Services staff to ensure cleanliness of the hospital, patient satisfaction and key result areas are met or exceeds. To set an example for all Environmental Services staff stressing personal enthusiasm, safety, teamwork, quality and pride in work, positive service minded attitude, and efficiency.



  • In absence of EVS supervisor, lead coworkers in the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department (EVS) program.
  • Trains associates and assists in Department Orientation Process.
  • Functions as Environmental Services Tech, knowing all positions/responsibilities within department. When in a lead role:
  • Supply and equipment use and maintenance.
  • Communicate to leadership associate performance, conduct, issues, etc.
  • Customer Satisfaction - Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying customer needs and exceeding customer expectations. Continues to improve patient and customer satisfaction scores.



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • leadership experience preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience with at least one in Housekeeping Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate instructions N/A Team player
  • Able to work with all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrates flexibility
  • Projects a positive attitude
  • Willing to learn, cooperate
  • Self-motivated

  • Good communication skills. Written and verbal

  • Knowledge of EVS products and equipment.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials Job responsibility involve walking, standing, bending, climbing and lifting throughout the work day.
  • Ability to perform medium lifting: up to 35 pounds occasionally and/or 10 to 15 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly.
