Position Requirements:
Associates degree or equivalent experience
3~4 years work experience within the hospital setting
Knowledge of Microsoft office products

Excellent customer service skills, work efficiently under pressure and high demands.

Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time computer literate a must.


Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Provide effective coordination of services for surgical support roles, including perioperative assistants and Anesthesia Technologists, in conjunction with surgical services management team. Leads the supervisory team to ensure defined duties and responsibilities are completed according to specified standards. Provides leadership and support to the surgical support teams. Coordinates staff developments to include: recruiting, retaining, orienting, and evaluating departmental personnel. Participates on department/hospital committees and teams to provide input to short~ and long~term goals for the department. Documents plans, action, implementation and results in meeting minutes and/ or scheduled reports.

Accountabilities:
Collaborates with the surgical services management team in developing strategic plan and direction for the unit
Coordinates orientation and training of Surgical Support teams and supports unit based training efforts for all associates.
Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintaining professional conduct at all times.
Observes and evaluates the standards of quality provided by the surgical support teams
Facilitates departmental policies and procedures that guide and support the provisions of service and maintain departmental compliance with all regulatory/Accreditation requirements.
