This position is responsible for management and coordination of all activities, protocols, practices and care required by DNV for both primary and comprehensive stroke center certification.
This position is responsible for implementation of a focused outreach/growth plan to achieve an exceptional patient transfer experience for all referral sources (emergency departments, referring physicians, and stroke coordinators/APN's) to enhance transfer process of tertiary neurologically emergent patients. Increase the volume of appropriate emergent neurological patient referrals from all referral sources.
Identify new referral sources in an effort to expand the current geographic referral market.

Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Nursing with a minimum of 6 years clinical experience with critical neuro patients and/or as stroke coordinator
Neuro nursing certification required CNRN
8 hours annual stroke education

Skilled communicator with demonstrated problem solving and resolution experience.
RN with current Illinois license

The candidate must be a licensed, insured driver who possesses a vehicle and the ability for traveling to and from various referral locations.

Geographic territory includes but is not limited to a 100 mile radius of Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Ability to prioritize independently and respond to multiple simultaneous requests.
Ability to communicate with patients/families.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations.

Lead the Comprehensive Stroke Program and Quality Management Plan to meet the standard requirements for DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC).
Responsible for monitoring reports for all referral data, patient outcomes, and dashboards related to stroke. Responsible for development and implementation of action plans based on data.
Manages daily operations of the NSI Multi-specialty clinic
Lead development and ongoing educational programs and outreach services for hospital staff, EMS, and community.
Implementation and ongoing management of a focused outreach plan to achieve an exceptional NSI patient transfer experience for all hospital referral sources.
Responsible for personal and professional growth and development for the stroke team.
