Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
Minimum 2 years of pertinent clinical experience
Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by professional standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Independence with providing advanced level of clinical skills and expertise
Recognizes needs and behaviors of specific age groups of patients treated.
Licensure to practice in Illinois as a Physical Therapist
Current BLS Certification

May be exposed to hazardous materials and life~threatening diseases direct contact with body fluid
Pushing, pulling, lifting, and transferring patients. Ability to lift very heavy weight requirements according to department of Labor definitions.
Ability to assist, escort, transfer, and respond to patient needs for extended periods of time.
Required to work on weekends, holidays and/or early evening hours as assigned, based on department guidelines. Off campus locations as assigned.


This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Provides direct physical therapy services to Pediatric patients, birth to adolescents, who are referred to the department. Selects appropriate evaluation procedures and develops individualized treatment programs to restore or maximize each patient's functional skills. A Therapist II is responsible for a complex patient caseload. Role of Therapist II includes teaching, mentoring and committee responsibilities, serves as a clinical resource to staff.

Accountabilities:
Responsible for all principal accountabilities of a Physical Therapist I
Responsible for staying abreast of clinical and operational developments.
Participation in Rehab Services growth and operations.
Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned.
Participation in educational and mentoring activities with Physical therapy students, medical students, peers, hospital staff and/or the community.
