Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree (BSN)
2 years of pervious management experience focused in inpatient and outpatient Advanced heart Failure Organizational, planning delegation skills
Team Building skills
Communication and presentation skills
Demonstrates leadership attributes
Results oriented with concern for appropriate process

CPR
ACLS
Professional Registered Nurse
Certification in areas of Specialty

Ability to travel locally as well as long distance travel
Ability to work within stressful conditions and difficult situations
Resilient and flexible in a changing environment
May be exposed to hazardous material and life threatening diseases
Ability to cooperate and work with others
Ability to make sound and timely decisions
May be required to participate in community services programs.
This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups and patients treated, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging. Prior experience with various age groups is preferred.


Ability to lift up to 35 lbs without assistance. For lifts over 35 lbs. equipment is to be used, or with at least one other associate.

Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to help achieve the vision of the Advocate Heart Institute by providing clinical leadership and oversight in a result oriented, customer focused manner. The person in this role will provide oversight of operations for the Heart Failure, Advanced Heart Failure, Heart transplant and VAD clinics to ensure quality, cost effective and timely services to patients and family members. It will ensure and maintain patient care delivery in compliance with all local~state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and department objectives. The person in this role, in conjunction with other Team Leaders, will execute the strategies developed by the Director/Executive Director for growth and quality by providing planning and development of staff and patient care initiatives. This position will include facilitating optimal job performance of team members and proper utilization of resources to ensure the highest quality patient care is achieved. This person will lead the team in planning, coordinating and day to day personnel management. An essential part of this position is collaborating with physicians, other healthcare providers and departmental leads to organize an efficient operational plan, ensure adequate exchange of information and communication among team members. The person in this position will ensure that patient throughput is maximized to full potential. Activities will be carried out utilizing the behaviors of excellence daily.

Responsible for the selection, development, motivation and evaluation of staff.

Preparation and administration of budgets to ensure adequate personnel, Facilities, and supplies.
