Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in information technology and/or project management.
  • Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in managing staff and budgets in an Information Technology environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledgeable of performance management and improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or similar products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Proven experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skill technical and problem solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
  • Strong decision making abilities.
  • Exposure to finance and budgeting a plus.
  • Extensive travel to sites is required and occasional out of town travel is required.
  • 24 hour, 7 day on-call support is required.


Purpose:
Manages the operation and maintenance of the organization's information (electronic data) systems so that they function reliably, meet the organization's business needs, and use the organization's IT resources effectively. Plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure that organization's information systems function reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.

Accountabilities:

  1. Researches, evaluates and recommends hardware and software products that will enhance the capabilities of the organization's information systems.
  2. Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how information systems should be installed, configured and maintained to best meet these needs.
  3. Ensures that applications and infrastructure are current and available to support business operations.
  4. Ensures that technology problems and service requests are resolved in accordance with service level objectives and information systems policies.
  5. Effectively communicates technology changes and outages to impacted business users.
  6. Interacts regularly with site/region executives, service line and operational leaders to collect and understand new business needs, relevant issues or adoption barriers.
  7. Locates existing solutions or develops new technology to solve site/region issues where appropriate.
  8. Ensures that the local site/region technology and infrastructure meets or exceeds established uptime targets through capacity planning, backup and recovery planning, lifecycle planning and server health monitoring.
  9. Investigates, tests and applies necessary system and application updates/patches to reduce exposure to malicious or unauthorized access.
