To develop, organize and direct the Equipment Processing Distribution and Patient
Transportation (EPD) departments at Advocate Christ Medical Center:

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all activities, programs and services for the
above department is provided in a customer focused, efficient and cost~effective manner.

To develop and monitor the department budget and operational/service data in order to drive
decisions regarding short and long-term vision and service goals for the department and its
customers both internally and externally.

To function as a liaison between the department's (internal/external) customers and the
department assuring that customer needs are pro~actively identified and evaluated, and that
action plans are designed, implemented and monitored.

To role model the highest standards of 'customer service excellence� ensuring that staff
perform all duties according to established customer service standards and that services are
developed to address overall or specific customer needs.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and equivalent experience with a minimum of 5~10 years administrative/management experience in Healthcare.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience with salary, expense, revenue and service unit management and budget preparation.
  • Prior leadership experience in equipment processing and/or patient transport is required. 

  • Previous experience with creation, design, facilitation and implementation of process and staffing redesign.
  • Experience with quality management processes.
  • Strong background in logistics.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong operational management and Human Resource skills.


  1. Directs the overall operation and services of the department to provide the highest quality of customer focused, and cost- effective services.
  2. Plan, design, implement, monitor and evaluate process/staffing redesign and performance improvement projects and initiatives.
  3. Develops and monitors the annual operating budgets of the distinct department of responsibility.
  4. Oversees the recruitment and selection of departmental personnel in order to provide the highest quality of customer focused and cost-effective services.
