Overview

The Radiology Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for nursing care delivery for the

Radiology Department. The Radiology Department includes Inpatient Services, as well as

Emergency Department Imaging Services and Outpatient Imaging Services. This position

manages and coordinates activities of nursing staff throughout the Radiology Department.

Verifies patient needs are met and evaluates care provided. Ensures continuity of care is

maintained between the nursing units and the Radiology Department, as well as the time the

patient is receiving services within the Radiology Department. Under the direction of the

Radiology Department Director, the Radiology Clinical Operations Manager is directly

responsible for managing the operations of interventional radiology technical and support staff.

This position is responsible for nursing practice throughout the Radiology Department and all

registered nurses working in Radiology report to this position. The Radiology Clinical Manager

will ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act. Additionally, this position is responsible

for assisting the Radiology Department Director in the planning, designing and improving

processes in Radiology services.

 

To provide administrative and clinical leadership to plan, coordinate and manage

Personnel and resources in order to provide the highest quality patient care with

trained, professional, and competent staff in the most cost-effective manner. To

collaborate with physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree requirement (BA, BS, BSN, etc.)
  • 2 years of previous management experience focused in Intensive Care services. Experience in Radiology or Cath Lab.
  • 3 years of previous
  • management experience
  • focused in radiology/
  • imaging.
  • 3 years previous radiology/imaging experience in a hospital
  • Organizational, planning delegation skills

     
  • Certified Radiology Administrator Preferred
