Overview

The Clinical Manager of Breast Health and Radiation Oncology Services, in cooperation with the Breast Center Medical Director, Medical Director of Radiation Oncology, Medical Director of Cancer Institute and Director of Cancer Institute, will facilitate a timely, integrated and coordinated approach to the care of patients coming to the Breast Center/Radiation Oncology for test and treatment, evaluations and consultations. It shall be the responsibility of the manager to triage inquiries, monitor the progress of each individual, by coordinating tests and procedures, acting as resource for information related to insurance, patient education and options for future care, The Clinical Manager of the Breast Center and Radiation Oncology will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations creating and overseeing utilization of the operational budget and supervising support staff. The Clinical Manager will act as a liaison between the Breast Center/Radiation Oncology and other ancillary areas to ensure that the needs and concerns of the patients are addressed. The Clinical Manager will provide administrative leadership to the Breast Center and Radiation oncology.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required. Masters degree preferred.
  • 3~5 yrs. Supervisory or Management experience in clinical health care setting required.  Breast Health and/or Radiation oncology preferred.
  • CPR certified.
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic and treatment methodologies for breast disease and cancer care.
  • Ability to work within a protocol/pathway driven environment.
  • Understanding of care management.
  • Ability to anticipate patient needs and take appropriate course of action using approved guidelines, protocols and pathways.
  • Flexible schedule, may include some weekends
  • May be required to participate in community service programs
