Purpose:
This position is accountable for providing strategic direction, leadership, and administration of the operational functions for assigned Patient Care Centers according to the Mission, Values, and Philosophy of Advocate Aurora Health and Advocate Christ Medical Center. This includes strategic planning and development of strategies for utilization of resources in clinical areas to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care to the satisfaction of patients, associates, medical staff and management in the most effective and economical manner.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Masters Degree any field OR Bachelors Degree any field with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required
  • RN Licensure in State of Illinois.
  • 5-10 years experience in healthcare management in an Emergency Room environment
  • Excellent leadership skills: strong collaborator able to work across disciplines effectively
  • Skilled in healthcare finance.


Accountabilities:

  1. Coordination and administration of all operational aspects to provide effective quality care for patients.
  2. Development and implementation of strategic plans that integrate the goals of Advocate Health Care and Advocate Christ Medical Center's Mission, Values, Philosophy, and Strategic plan(s).
  3. Development and ongoing maintenance of collaborative relationships with department managers/directors, physicians, system~wide contacts and related external contacts in order to meet hospital/system objectives.
  4. Establishes and maintains a comprehensive clinical care management system that reflects the quality and patient satisfaction goals of the division. Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards that follow quality management, DNV, IDPH, CDC, OSHA, Magnet and other external guidelines.
  5. Responsible for professional and personal growth and development.
  6. Leads division in customer and associate satisfaction initiatives so as to achieve steady improvement in scoring levels.
