Coord Retail – Food & Nutrition Service - #109871

  • Day/PM shift: Monday – Friday from 11:30am – 8:30pm AND every other weekend (5:30am – 2:30pm).
  • Full time (40 hours per week)


JOB SUMMARY: To ensure efficient coordination and management of the retail operations through effective leadership, planning, directing, organizing and coordination of activities to provide quality food and services to all associates and customers. Effective management will be accomplished through teamwork, flexibility to change, striving for excellence and continued process improvement, as well as, fostering diversity by treating all associates and customers with respect, integrity and dignity.


  • Supervise, coordinate and monitor the activities of the retail staff.
  • Organization and coordination of retail staff to ensure quality food and services are provided to customers in a consistent manner.
  • Monitor monthly budget standards ensuring budget targets are met.
  • Provision of data needed to monitor cafeteria sales to plan a menu based on customer sales provision of data needed to determine the cost of all food, supplies, and/or other services to charge appropriately for food served.
  • Coordinate and supervise the department's sanitation and safety program according to defined department standards.
  • Provide excellence in customer service in accordance with the Behaviors of Excellence.



  • High school education.
  • Three years previous food service experience.
  • 1~2 years lead capacity.
  •  Computer skills.
  • Good human relations skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to become ServSafe certified within 3 months of accepting position.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to complete numerous simultaneous projects within given time constraints.
  • Knowledge of food production.
  • Knowledge of cafeteria and catering.
  • Ability to run a cash register.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly skilled in problem solving in both operations and personnel management.
  • Some knowledge of nutrition as it related cafeteria operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under stressful and difficult situations.
  • Ability to respond quickly to peak services demands.
  • Ability to motivate and lead people to accomplish tasks.
