Construction Project Manager - #120928

  • Day Shifts: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Full time: 40 hours a week
  • No weekends and holidays. Occasional weekend hours when needed.


Coordinates and supervises all aspects of planning, design and construction projects ranging in size from small scale renovation to new building construction. Supervises consultant, architect, engineer, general contractor, subcontractor and other professional activities on bid jobs as well as internal hospital-contracted jobs. This position requires local travel and ability to commute to Advocate BroMenn sites.


  • Administration
  • Responsible for coordination and supervision of all aspects of construction process
  • Responsible for project planning
  • Responsible for stewardship of Construction Documents and preparation of Safety Documents on Advocate's behalf



  • BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture (or related major)
  • 2 or more years prior experience in project management with majority of experience in hospital or health care field
  • Basic skills in computer word processing, scheduling, and accounting spreadsheets.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-ambulation in order to visit job sites on campus.
  • Ability to walk on stairs, ladders, climb scaffolding, and visit dusty environments is required.
  • Traveling to job sites within Bloomington/Normal/Eureka areas, which requires access to vehicle.
