Clinical Informatics-Full-time DAYS, Christ Hospital

 

The ideal candidate is a true team player. Working together harmoniously is a main component of the job. This person must be flexible and a self-starter/learner.  The ideal candidate does not need to have CI experience but they should have been a superuser for implementations at their site and comfortable with using technology. They must be comfortable teaching one on one and in a group setting.Fitting in as part of the team is very important. BSN required.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or other related clinical field, or computer science plus
3 years clinical experience plus
3 years clinical information system or related experience.
. Broad based knowledge and competency in both hardware and software applications and systems in clinical department and/or integrated delivery system environment.
Strong presentation skills are required. R.N. licensure Travel between all AHC sites is a requirement of the job, as well as out~of~town travel as required.
Flexibility with scheduling, including off shifts and weekends is required.
On call support as needed during IT implementations etc.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Purpose:
The Clinical Informaticist integrates clinical practice with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice. The Clinical Informaticist is responsible to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to enhance workflow methodologies and tools. Maintains an evidence based practice focus during all aspects of the clinical information system lifecycle including: selection, analysis, design, build, testing, documentation, education, implementation and support activities to enhance technology adoption and efficiencies to improve patient safety, financial, and quality outcomes. Supports and facilitates the AHC Clinical Informatics Department vision and strategic goals.
