Behavioral Health Assistant – Ambulatory Behavioral Health - #104840

  • Day shift: 8am – 4:30pm; Monday - Friday
  • Registry (no guaranteed hours, no benefits, and you will be scheduled as needed)

 

JOB SUMMARY: To provide a high level of conscientious service to Behavioral Health Department leaders, and to perform varied secretarial, clerical, and minor administrative duties using independent judgment and action within established guidelines.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Performance of secretarial and minor administrative services in support of department in a courteous

    efficient manner.

  • Performance of reception duties in a courteous and efficient manner when asked.
  • Responsible clerical duties. Maintains department and assigned manager's/coordinator's files
  • Performance of data base coordination.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • H.S. or equivalent
  • 2-4 years secretarial experience OR Associates degree AND 1-2 years secretarial experience
  • Typing 60+ words per minutes,
  • Computer experience with preferred Proficiency in several software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to create spreadsheets
  • If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
