RN Clinical Lead - Short Stay Unit

The RN Clinical Lead works to support and ensure clinical patient care leadership for Short Stay Unit populations by providing clinical leadership to plan, coordinate and manage associates and resources in order to provide the highest quality patient care with trained, professional and competent staff in the most cost-effective manner.  Collaborates with physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal patient care. 


· Assist PCC leadership with day to day operation to ensure high quality and cost effective patient care

· Practices the principles of Quality Improvement in order to contribute to positive patient outcomes  

· Participates with PCC leadership to provide positive work environment for staff in terms of growth and development and job satisfaction  

· Responsible for personal/professional growth and development 


· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

· Bachelors of Science in Nursing 

·  Licensed Professional Registered Nurse


· Ability to assume charge/schedule coordinator role Ability to communicate effectively and work cohesively with a diverse work group  Skills specific to each units specialty

· Ability to travel locally.

· Ability to work within stressful conditions and difficult situations.

· May be exposed to hazardous material and threatening diseases.

· Ability to function in a fast paced environment with established time constraints.

**If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
