Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or a related field
Clinical credential and license may also be a plus.
5+ years experience consultive selling to physicians
5+ years experience in Hospital, Home Health, Hospice, RT/DME, Infusion or nursing home sales.
2+ years experience in managed care/capitation/global environments for the provision of health care services.

Strong self~motivation and self~direction
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction from supervisor
Excellent relationship management/consultive selling skills.
Strong creative problem solving and facilitation skills.
Understanding of hospital and physician operations/services impacted by managed care and health care reform.
Knowledge of various reimbursement and incentive methodologies for physicians, hospitals and post acute.
Ability to work with data and think strategically and behave tactically for job results
Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism.
N/A Travel in a seven county area in all weather conditions in neighborhoods with high crime rates.

Early/late meetings as needed to establish contact with stakeholders, physicians and referral sources.

The purpose of this position is to provide subject matter expertise, consultation/problem solving and education to physicians, hospitals leaders and other referral sources to build strong relationships that result in increased revenue and volume from an assigned territory. The Account Representative is expected to make regular visits to physician and referral source offices with the intent to advise and educate on a wide variety of topics (may include: post acute services, population health strategies and programs such as right level of care, readmission prevention strategies, Home Care services, Home Infusion Therapy, Hospice, Palliative Care system service line, Post Acute SNF Network, Post Acute Physicians at Home and APP in~Network and access strategies, and joint ventures).

As part of the Business Development team, the Account Representative is responsible for working with the VP of Business Development to identify new strategies in addition to growing volumes, executing plans and delivering key messages to physicians, hospitals leaders and other referral sources.

Relationship Development and Management: managed assigned territory of physicians, hospital leaders and other referral sources for the purpose of relationship building, education, consultation/problem solving that results in increase volumes.
Keeps all levels of Advocate at Home staff informed regarding sales activity with existing and potential referral sources and issues of importance to the referral source. Communication is conducted formally at division meetings, marketing meetings and clinical meetings, and informally daily.
Develops and maintains accurate and timely records on key accounts, referral sources (i.e. physicians, case managers, discharge planners, etc.) and competitors. Tracks sales calls and maintains record of all customer contacts. Reviews revenue reports by key accounts to identify trends and determine future sales activities
Identifies customer concerns and acts as a conduit for problem solving and service recovery.
Information and Operations Knowledge: Stays abreast of Advocate at Home's programs, policies and procedures including the ability to train, guide and troubleshoot tools available to the physician/referral source staff. Maintains knowledge of Advocate at Home, Advocate and industry changes as they relate to the physician/referral sources and is able to apply that knowledge to key leaders.
