  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

  • Software package skills including Word, Excel, and cc:Mail Advanced budget development
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

Job Description

Provides clinical and operational leadership to plan, coordinate and manage personnel and resources related to the comprehensive logistics of patient placement in the appropriate level of care and bed assignment at the Advocate System Level. Essential functions include: resource management, patient throughput, and monitoring. This position will be responsible to collaborate with Directors/Managers to provide efficient and effective use of resources and coordination of bed and capacity for patient throughput.



Provides operations oversight for Patient Command Center.  Provides guidance and direction in the efficient management and evaluation of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Covers a broad scope of responsibility and is integral to achieving the system strategic and financial plans and positioning.

Responsible for Bed Management decisions regarding the purchase of supplies, equipment, and payroll.

Timely coordinates patient placement, appropriate level of care, and effective discharge planning in the emergency department.  Maximizes inpatient revenue through appropriate level of care placement and preadmission analysis of benefits.

Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
