JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for simultaneously managing one or more large and highly complex strategic projects within ACL.

  • Defines project standards and establishes project targets, benchmarks and performance measures.
  • Tracks key project milestones and recommends adjustments as needed.
  • Communicates with senior IS leadership, senior business leadership, IS program Management and vendor teams to communicate project strategy, direction and change.
  • Responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget, while adhering to the highest quality standards and meeting strategic and business requirements
  • Partners with leadership to identify and prioritize projects and opportunities for program management standards and processes to achieve the goals of the ACL enterprise. Assists IS and business groups to achieve successful project delivery by mentoring Project Management standards and practices.

 ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manages, coordinates, plans and participates in ACL projects and programs across enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Manages the delivery of large and complex strategic projects ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with the agreed level of functionality and deliverables.
  • Defines project execution approach to be employed based on the size and complexity of the project, Needs to support different project and package implementation approaches.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitors performance against those schedules, plans and estimates.
  • Uses facilitation, influencing and project management skills to ensure completion within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Provides Project / Program Management services within ACL systems, providing post-implementation tracking for major projects to ensure the expected benefits are obtained and that key insights are captured and incorporated into future projects and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent of ten years in project management, with at least five years of these being responsible for large complex projects with a proven record of successful project delivery.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
  • Must be able to operate all equipment essential to perform the job. Exposed to weather and road hazards, as incumbent is required to travel to work-related meetings/activities and to ACL locations within Wisconsin and Illinois. Exposed to a normal office environment.
