Position Requirements:
BA/BS in Business or Computer Science or related field is a plus or equivalent progressive Information Systems experience (3~7 years).

Coordinates and plans projects, active in on~call rotation, provides independent resolution of complex problems, recognized by team members as product knowledgeable, reliable and consistent example of team work and customer service.

Travel to Advocate sites is required: and occasional out~of~town travel is required.

24~hour/7 day a week on~call support is required.


Application administrator - Support a collection of clinical and non-clinical applications.  This includes daily maintenance and support, working with vendors and user base for upgrade planning and general communication, outage scheduling, periodic server reboots, along with affected related systems. Includes responding to trouble tickets entered by end users, and troubleshooting to resolution.   May require knowledge of Windows server support functions/services. May require related knowledge of HL7 interfacing, and other related supporting technologies.  May require familiarity with an assortment medical devices.  Participation in an on call rotation required.


 Evaluate, plan, configure, convert, install and maintain complex systems to support the business needs of the organization and operating units. Provide planning and support consulting services to ensure the maximization of new and existing investments and resolve significant business issues. Demonstrates fully integrated knowledge of hospital operations and the technology supporting the business model.
