Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • RN license
  • 5 years of experience in Telemetry
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in Telemetry Management.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Prioritization skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • In-depth Knowledge of patient throughput processes and experience with software.
  • In-depth Knowledge of PI management, LEAN techniques.
  • Strong PC skills, excel and PowerPoint proficient Computer proficiency (Word, power point, excel, etc).
  • Software package skills including Word, Excel, and cc:Mail.
  • Advanced budget development.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and team-building skills across hospitals, departments and disciplines.
  • Ability to work across all lines of management and with medical staff to promote good relationships among departments.
  • Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.

Provides clinical and operational leadership to plan, coordinate and manage personnel and resources related to the comprehensive logistics of central telemetry at the Illinois System Level. Essential functions include: system process standardization, safe patient monitoring work flows, and personnel management. This position will be responsible to collaborate with site and system Directors/Managers to provide efficient and effective practices and processes for the telemetry program.


  1. Provides operations oversight for central telemetry. Provides guidance and direction in the efficient management and evaluation of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  2. Covers a broad scope of responsibility and is integral to achieving the system strategic and financial plans and positioning.
  3. Responsible for central telemetry decisions regarding the purchase of supplies, equipment, and payroll.
  4. Ensure bi-directional communication for the standard approach to patient safety for central telemetry practices and procedures.
  5. Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  6. Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
