Lead Telecom Analyst

Status: Fulltime (40 hours per week)

Propose:-

Design, engineer, implement, maintain, monitor and audit the network security environment. Provide confidentiality, integrity and availability to data and resources inside and outside the organization. Responsible for the development of security policies, standards and procedures to maintain the integrity of the enterprise telecommunications environment. Identify, evaluate and recommend solutions to potential service disruptions as they relate to the enterprise telecommunications environment. Implement systems and processes to detect service disruptions, functional anomalies and potential threats to the telecommunication environment. Review telecommunications systems and strategies and make recommendations where appropriate.

Position Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

8 years experience in a telecommunications environment, design, installation, and support.

Understanding of PSTN and VOIP network configuration, experience with Alcatel PCX4400, Siemens 9751 Familiarity with HIPAA Regulations.

Develop and maintain telecommunications policies as needed to maintain the security and business continuity of the Advocate Health Care enterprise telecommunications network

Provide telecommunications security solutions, designs, and reviews, develop and promote corporate policy standards and procedures.

Develop telecommunications business continuity strategies, architectures and security requirements based on the business needs of Advocate Health Care.

Responsible for vulnerability assessments of the telecommunications systems, deployment and system hardening.

Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of the assets of Advocate Health Care and to protect telecommunications systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

Educate users to raise telecommunications security awareness and promote security policies.

Where applicable, create new policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:-

Excellent communication skills.

Extensive customer service skills. Knowledge of a variety of telecom hardware platforms and operating systems.

Alcatel Field Engineer Certification preferred

Excellent management experience with projects implementing VOIP and other new telecommunications technologies.
Knowledge of call center design, software, stations and, network integration and testing of third party interfaces and wireless technology.

Excellent analytical skills

Must be able to lift boxes/equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more.

Must be able to travel to various Advocate sites. 24-hour/7 day on call support required.
