CLINICAL ANALYST - HIT Oncology Informatics, AdvocateAurora Health, Downers Grove, Ilinois

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position has accountability within the Cancer Institute for Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Cancer Registry departments across Advocate..

  • Acts as a resource for project plans and provides process optimization; including written project plans, reports, presentations and metrics that address planning and implementation activities, acceptance testing, on-going performance, system maintenance, training, end-user satisfaction and quality control.
  • This position provides technical support and coordination to site administrators.

Accountabilities:

  • Analytical, Technical and Problem Resolution Services providing analytical, technical and product proficiency to support all end users.
  • Resolves straightforward problems independently and complex problems with supervision from manager.
  • Multi-tasks to deliver high quality products and services to ensure on-time delivery. Manages client expectations, establishes positive working relationships, and provides excellent customer support for all post-implementation, system maintenance and on-going support issues.
  • Monitors the quality of the technical environment and assesses the impact on the end-users, and works with manager to identify and implement solutions. Opens tickets with appropriate support organizations and keeps management apprised of urgent issues.
  • Conducts system configuration changes and maintains staff security as approved my management. Assists with data migration, data security and data recovery.
  • Assists sites with testing and implementation of the disaster recovery plan.
  • Process Improvement and Analysis, by identifying and implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) project initiatives, focusing on process optimization, system standardization, and process re-engineering.
  • Assists in establishing standards and procedures for Oncology system use. Documents system standards and helps facilitate standardization across all departments.
  • Partners with multidisciplinary clinical teams to execute and drive performance and system improvement opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Nursing, Radiation therapy or other related clinical field Or 3+ years Oncology EMR vendor support specialist experience with Elekta Mosai Q or Varian Aria EMRs
  • Experience in project implementations, strong experience with SQL, knowledge of local, state, and federal hospital accreditation requirements and laws.
  • Web Development experience, emerging technologies like (C#, .NET, ASP, JAVA)
  • Provides 24/7 On-Call rotation support, includes weekends and holidays.
  • Must have transportation and ability to travel to all Advocate sites that utilize an Oncology EMR.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work within specified timeframes.
  • Fast paced environment with established time constraints.
