Position Requirements:

  • High School education
  • This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of patients treated, i.e. understand child growth and development, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various age groups in preferred.
  • 5 years hospital/ patient transportation including 1 years lead or supervisory experience
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate patient, employee and unit needs and refer for appropriate action.
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to read and write English
  •  Main Responsibilities are Mon~Friday First shift 6:00am-2:30pm or Second Shift 2:30pm-11:00pm.
  • Ability to work holidays, and works different shifts to accommodate staffing needs.
  • Ability to perform lifting/standing activities related to patients. Ability to perform very heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds occasionally and /or excess of 50 pounds frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly.
  • Ability to maneuver and operate equipment used by the department.
  • Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients.
  • Ability to assist in event of a fire or other disaster.
  • Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick.



Purpose:
To ensure that the Patient Transport department is operating as efficiently as possible to provide the patient or customer with the best possible service within all established policies and procedures. Monitor, assists, trains and educate on job accountabilities. Follow up to ensure efficiency and accuracy of associates in regard to job duties and implementing change.


Accountabilities:
Participation of self~development by attending mandatory inservices
Supervisor plans, coordinates, and monitors the daily activities in the department to provide effective and efficient service according to fluctuating workload demands and operational needs
Selects orients, develops, and evaluates associates maintaining a highly motivated staff, capable of successfully performing needed services which comply with standards set by the department, hospital, Accrediting Organization and other regulatory agencies.
Provide effective quality service for patients through Quality assurance
Provides assistance and support to staff at COND
