Position: Supervisor EVS/Linen

Location: Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL.

Full Time, Rotate All Shifts

 

Purpose:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of all Environmental Services personnel in their areas of responsibilities and for providing functional direction and support to all Environmental Services staff as appropriate. Ensures that all Environmental Services functions are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Provides data on employee performance and completes performance reviewss. Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and improving the quality of service and delivery using the principles and practices of Continuous Quality Improvement. Responds to, and anticipates customer needs. Puts Advocate Health Care mission and value statement into action striving to meet all goals related to our key result areas.

 

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years leadership experience in a service department (hospital setting preferred)
  • Good supervisory skills in scheduling, planning, evaluating,training and coaching Environmental Services Associates required.
  • Good skills in identifing and resolving conflicts constructively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Strongly detailed and results oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, exercises initiative.
  • Strong computer skills and strong skills in using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demands which require walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the work day.
  • Ability to observe the work of others and provide feedback to enhance performance.
  • Able to meet time constraints in a fast paced environment.


Accountabilities:

  • Inspects work in progress and upon completion for quality and timeliness of completion
  • Performs general supervisory duties
  • Plans and supervises the day~to~day operations of the Environmental Services and Linen Department. Including Meeting reservations and set up.
