The Manager coordinates and monitor departmental resources in order to provide the highest
quality care and services in the most cost effective manner possible. Responsibilities
include 24 hour accountability for day to day supervision of the department(s). To
collaborate with medical staff to provide defined services.

 

Accountabilities:

  1. Responsible for the maintenance of efficient and effective departmental operations
  2. Coordination of the selection process. Responsible for monitoring and assessing staff developmental needs to ensure competence
  3. Collaboration with hospital educators in the development and implementation of educational activities
  4. Performs all job duties under the strictest Patient Satisfaction standards according to established policies and procedures.
  5. Responsible for monitoring of departmental budget
  6. Responsible for monitoring and implementing Continuous quality Improvement initiatives
  7. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency guidelines and standards of care
  8. Establishment of a climate of team building and peer support and respect
  9. Maintenance of personal professional growth and development

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Current RN licensure in State of Illinois
  • 5 years lead or supervisory experience
  • 7 years clinical experience
  • CPR Certified
  • ACLS Certified
  • Appropriate clinical skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Strong human relations skills
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to work weekends, off shifts and holidays, dependent upon departmental needs
  • Ability to work under situations
  • Available as support to unit and for disaster situations
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials/diseases.
  • Requires flexibility to deal with changing environment.
