Position Requirements:
- Master's Degree or equivalent in healthcare or a related field
- 5+ years experience in performance improvement, operations, finance, marketing experience in a relevant physician / hospital / managed care environment.
- 2+ years experience working collegially with physicians.
- Experience in managed care/capitation/global budgets for the provision of health care services.
- Demonstrated excellent relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong project management and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Significant knowledge of hospital and physician (multi~specialty group, IPA or PHO) operations and services impacted by managed care and health care reform.
- Significant knowledge about both the clinical and financial aspects of managed care, including capitation and global budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering written and oral reports.
- Strong skills for using various information systems tools to identify performance improvement opportunities, communicate these opportunities to physicians and track improvements.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism.

- Daily regular travel to physician offices within a pre~assigned region of APP.
- Early/late evening meetings, as needed to establish contact with key stakeholders.


Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide subject matter expertise, consultation and education to APP physician members by establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with the physician and practice. Field Operations Advisors are expected to make regular visits to physician offices, with the intent to advise and educate on a wide variety of topics (examples include population health management strategies and programs, clinical integration, registry and EMR utilization and Meaningful Use attestation, incentive program(s), APP web site, care management, and office efficiencies and access strategies). The Field Operations Advisor is a highly strategic role within APP, designed to provide value to the physician and office through expertise, consultation, and change management. The Field Operations Advisor is the relationship manager for the practice and exists to help simplify the physician's experience with APP, while working to identify and address improvement opportunities. As part of the Field Operations Team, the Advisor will be responsible for executing plans and delivering key messages to physicians and office staff. This position is field~based with the majority of time spend in physician offices.

Accountabilities:
Relationship Development and Management ~ Manage the assigned PHO/territory and practices for the purpose of engaging APP physicians.
Data Management: Ability to generate and explain multiple metrics used to track physician and PHO performance.
Information and Operations Knowledge: Stays abreast on APP programs, policies, and procedures: including the ability to use, train, guide, and troubleshoot technical systems and tools available to physicians and office staff. Maintains APP, Advocate, and industry changes as they relate to the physician office. Apply knowledge of business and analytics to provide information to physicians, senior and executive leaders. Able to interpret trends from AdvocateCare metrics, claims data and other data in order to understand the specifics of what issues are driving the outcomes and financial results.
