This position is responsible to define, develop, and implement hospital initiatives and strategies to ensure that quality patient care is provided in a cost effective manner, utilizing continuous quality improvement techniques. The position is responsible for strategic planning, business development, cost management, and care management in a broad portfolio of services that include: Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Renal Dialysis and Nursing Administration Resources.

Position Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Masters in administration, business or nursing
  • Greater than 5 years progressive experience in health care management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with physician practices and hospital administration in business plan development
  • Basic PC skills
  • Financial analysis and planning
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and team building skills across departments and disciplines
  • Ability to develop and lead multi disciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in a changing environment
  • Business development and strategic planning skills
  • Current nursing license in state of Illinois Resiliency and flexibility to deal with a changing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal/external customers
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases
  • Ability to travel between sites within the system
  • Occasional out of town travel


  • Responsible for professional and personal growth and development.
  • Coordination and administration of all daily operational aspects to provide effective quality care for patients
  • Development and implementation of strategic plans that integrate the goals of Advocate
  • Healthcare/Condell Medical Center's mission, values, philosophy and strategic plans.
  • Development and implementation of quality and process improvement initiatives to ensure continual analyses and improvement in clinical outcomes following DNV, IDPH, CDC, OSHA and other external guidelines
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of collaborative relationships with department managers/directors, physicians, systemwide contacts, and related external contacts in order to meet hospital/system objectives
