Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field.
  • Advanced degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Hospital Administration or a related field.
  • 5~7 years experience in healthcare management. Good management skills, including ability to work well with others, team building skills, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work across lines and promote good relationships among departments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare finance.
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Ability to travel locally as well as long distance travel.




Purpose:
To direct, coordinate, plan and manage the strategic planning, marketing, operational activities, administrative functions, physician relations and personnel of Emergency Services (Adult and Pediatric), EMS, Trauma, W3 and the ICU.

Accountabilities:

  • Administration and oversight of all operational aspects of Critical Care and Emergency Services to achieve quality processes and outcomes.
  • Development and implementation of long and short range plans to promote continuous divisional success and consistency with Advocate Health Care/Medical Center's philosophy and strategic plan(s).
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of collaborative relationships with department managers/ directors, physicians, system~wide contacts, and related external contacts in order to meet program and Medical Center objectives.
  • Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards which follow system, Medical Center and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversight and monitoring of personnel alignment within the division that will best support quality, efficiency, budgetary and strategic goal attainment.
  • Leads division in customer and associate satisfaction initiatives so as to achieve steady improvement in scoring levels.
