Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations or related field.
  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in communications/media/public affairs/public relations/internal communications comprehensive strategy.
  • 3 years of management experience in leading teams.
  • Strong written and oral communications

Purpose:
Executes public affairs and marketing strategy within specific Advocate Aurora Health regions. Leverages innovative channels and technologies to deploy tactics across all stakeholder audiences. Leads and manages public affairs and marketing merchandising and extensions within regions, patient service areas and sites of care. Key focus on developing key relationships with function and operations leaders. Participates with larger department system taskforces and committees in the development of strategies and implementation plans. Works closely across senior and executive leadership.

  7. Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  8. Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  9. Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
