Position: Cold Production Barista

Location: Advocate Condell Hospital; Libertyville, IL.

Full Time; PM Shift

  • Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:00pm, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

 

Purpose:
A cold food production barista prepares menu items, coffee beverages, and assists with other retail food production as assigned utilizes standardized recipes, portion control and ingredient controls to provide consistent food served to all our customers maintains food cost through the use of 'first in, first out' food rotation, safe food handling , recording of production amounts emphasis on food quality using operational excellence standards.

 

Position Requirements:

  • 1 year healthcare or related customer service experience
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Effectively communicating with all retail customers and associates
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to read a recipe and execute
  • Must be able to display food professional and attractively Food Service Sanitation Certification with in 6 months of hire Various room temperatures
  • Numerous occasions of bending and or lifting as related to essential job activities
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.), and safely walk on wet, slippery floors
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Must be willing and capable of working in a fast paced work environment
  • Contact with cleaning chemicals, heat sources, electrical sources, cut sources and proper PPE required


If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Accountabilities:

  • The cold food production worker is held accountable for achieving the preparation of quality and safe food.
  • Attend to customer needs
  • Prepare Starbucks branded beverages as per Starbucks recipes ensuring compliance with Starbucks branded program, with an emphasis on overall quality and integrity of Starbucks branded program.
  • Exemplary customer service is the expectation.
  • The Cold Production Barista must maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and maintain equipment clean and in good working condition.
