Position Requirements:
~RRT and / or RCVT

2 years general radiology experience or 2~3 years cardiac or invasive procedure experience

Licensed with the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety ~Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
~Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs.
~Ability to teach procedures to the staff. ~Current License in the state of IL as IEMA
~ACLS/IABP required upon hire or within 60 days of hire.
The ability to function in a high stress environment, lift and
move heavy patients and equipment, stand for long periods of time, wearing lead apron (approx. 18 lbs.), and work flexible hours and on~call basis.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

To provide professional, highly technical radiological care to all cardiovascular and interventional radiology patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular and interventional radiologic procedures. To assist in the performance of advanced radiographic procedures on designated portion of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury. To assist the physicians during cardiovascular invasive procedures, through the use of specialized equipment to diagnose and treat patient with congenital and acquired heart disease and peripheral vascular disease. These procedures will be in accordance with departmental standards and policies will ensure patient safety and quality care. Function as a liaison for patients, patient's families, and physicians. Assist physicians in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures.

Assisting in the development of new operating procedures
Provision of specialized skills for all patients undergoing cardiovascular and interventional radiologic procedures
Assistance with new staff orientation within the department
Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular and interventional radiologic procedures
Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab
Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards
Participate in in~services, continuing education, and workshops to remain abreast of new procedures and current technologies
Act as a role model within the department serving as a resource person for all clinical activities
