Position Requirements:
~Associates degree in Computer Science or Health Science
~Basic knowledge of computer systems
~3~5 years radiology experience
~ Good knowledge of computer and networking applications
~ Good written and oral communication skills
~ Good understanding of the clinical and operational environment of a hospital

~ This position requires on~call availability 24/7 day
~ Ability to handle sensitive PC equipment and printers that may require lifting and moving (40 to 50 lbs.).
~ Ability to extend oneself to lend RIS, MUSE and Powerscribe support beyond an 8~hour shift, different shifts, or weekends to all Advocate sites.
~ Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations with physicians.
~ Available for on~call for RIS, MUSE, Powerscribe and PACS support.
~ Strong ability to communicate with all hospital personnel.
~ Adaptability in dealing with change.
~ Ability to use problem~solving skills, able to resolve problems and identify creative solutions in a timely manner.

To provide Information Systems support for the Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Nuclear Medicine, Vascular Lab, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Cardiology, Powerscribe and Mammography. Update system files and provide reporting tools to department directors and department managers. This position provides function and utilization education to users of RIS, MUSE, Powerscribe and PACS.

Be able to act in the position of Radiology Tech whenever there is a severe shortage within the department.
Coordinator analyzes Radiology Information System data, providing reporting tools for process study, CQI, and departmental statistics for examining specific issues with departmental operations.
Database maintenance, updates, accurate patient and physician information, ensuring proper patient billing, and guarantee appropriate system user access for all departmental staff. Assist in exams and patient merging within PACS system. Build procedures within PACS.
Participates with the planning, management, implementation and evaluation of operations/services as related to PACS to insure quality cost effectiveness.
Coordinator acts as the central point for Help Desk requests and assists Diagnostic Services and Cardiac Supervisors/Chief Techs in evaluating, servicing, and ensuring the timely resolution of all information system related problems/issues.
