Position Requirements:
Associates degree from an accredited program for physical therapy assistants.

Licensed or eligible in the state of Illinois
CPR Certification AHA

Good interpersonal skills and communication

BLS within 30 days of hire Required to work approximately 1 weekend per month or evenings depending on area of assignment.
Lifts 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Provides direct physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to patients of all ages who are referred to the department. Interprets results of treatments administered and consults with supervising physical therapist. Performs appropriate treatment programs with patients to restore or maximize functional skills.
