Position Requirements:
Masters degree in Nursing
2~4 years experience in anesthesia Good communication skills
Computer skills
Knowledge of anesthesia delivery equipment
Good time management and organizational skills AANA certification in anesthesia
ACLS Able to transport patients of up to 250 pounds via wheelchair or stretcher. Able to lift patients with the help of equipment and/or other coworker. Able to perform CPR according to American Heart Association standards. Able to stand, stoop, and move around patient care area to effectively accompolish anesthesia nursing.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

The delivery of quality primary anesthesia care (General, Regional, Monitored Anesthesia Care) to patients of all ages having surgery. Evaluates and assures the hospital has quality equipment and the supplies needed to provide anesthesia services.

Maintains own professional growth and development by:
Provides Primary Anesthesia Care (General, Regional, Monitored Anesthesia Care) to patients having surgery.
Evaluates the surgical patients preoperatively.
Conducts an immediate pre~anesthesia evaluation of the patient in the OR to include vital signs, level of consciousness and response to any preoperative medications
Maintains an accurate, detailed and legible record for each patient in compliance with the hospital policy and procedures and The Accrediting Organization standards.
Assembles all necessary drugs, supplies and equipment for the administration of anesthesia.
Provides Pain Management Services as requested by the medical staff.

Promote culture of safety through identifying threats to patient safety and intervening to prevent patient harm

Report intimidating behavior and other threats to patient safety promptly
