On average schedule is 1-2 days per week 7:30-4.  Must be available on Fridays.

 

Position Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of Non~Invasive Cardiology experience in Echocardiography OR Associate's Degree

Demonstrated skills for advanced learning in endocrinology

This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups treated, i.e., understand child growth and development, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various groups is preferred

Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Ability to work well with others

Good communication skills

Good organizational skills

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Ability to be flexible~ work weekends, holidays,
and on~call for staffing needs based upon department on~call guidelines
Ability to communicate with patients.
Ability to perform lifting and transferring related to
patient care (in the category of medium ~ lifting
up to 20~50 lbs occasionally.)

Ability to move ultrasound equipment for
studies to various departments.

Exposure to ill patients, may be exposed to blood and urine samples.

Ability to work in a fast~paced environment with established time constraints.

Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner.



If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
To perform quality echocardiographic studies on adult and pediatric patients with a customer satisfaction focus. These procedures include: M~Mode, 2~D, Color Doppler and stress echo. To provide to the interpreting physician accurate diagnostic imaging of cardiac anatomy and cardiac performance.

Accountabilities:
Performs Echocardiographic Testing
Provides clerical functions necessary for physician's interpretation, department, records, and patient billing
Interacts with medical staff, nurses and other hospital departments regarding patient care and department procedures
Maintains professional growth, self development, objectives, skill enhancement and commitment to the organization
Maintains a safe and efficient work environment
