Location: Advocate Sherman

Hours: Part Time, 20 Hours a Week

Shift: Day

 

Position Requirements:
Associate Degree preferred
2~3 years of cash posting experience
Experienced in navigating web based applications
Typing 35 wpm preferred
10 key calculator
Must be able to operate computer and software systems in use at Sherman and Advocate Occupational health .
Able to operate a copy machine, facsimile machine, telephone/voicemail.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently.
Experienced in use of PC based information management tools.
Must have strong customer service orientation
Strong organizational skills

Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds, stand, bend and reach in a manner consistent with typical office work.

Purpose:
Responsible for the prompt and accurate posting of payments for Occupational Health accounts. Ensures that all Advocate Health Care Policies relating to payment applications and internal audit processes are followed. This position is responsible for the application of payments to Systoc. Facilitates Occupational Health billing and insures accurate and timely processing.

Accountabilities:
Accurate and timely posting of all lockbox payments, patient/client credit card, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)and check payments.
Utilizes the accounting systems/applications proficiently in order to resolve client/patient account balances and process payment transactions appropriately. Demonstrates mastery of and expert knowledge of the cash posting processes.
Adheres to established Advocate and SRCO policies, procedures, guidelines and productivity standards.
Responsible for personal and professional growth and development.
Customer Service
Responsible for financial reporting to manager, marketing, Occupational Health and /or Advocate's corporate office for Sherman Occupational health facilities including charge entry, accounts receivable, collections, adjustments, allowances, and volume reports. Responsible for account analysis and reconciliation.
