IDNS accreditation in radiation technology

3 years experience in radiography
Able to perform basic radiography procedures IEMA licensed Radiographic Technologist

Registered by ARRT

CPR certified Ability to work in a fast~paced environment with established time constraints

May be exposed to hazardous materials and life~threatening disease

Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities related to patients. Heavy lifting: Lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.

Ability to work rotating shifts

Ability to make patient feel at ease

This position can recognize needs and behaviors of the following age groups: pediatric (newborn, toddler, and school~age), adolescent, adult, and older adult.
Evidence of this can be shown by recognizing levels of development and modifying approach and exhibiting communication skills necessary to interpret age specific responses.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Coordinate daily general radiology procedures and staffing work hours. Perform all radiology examinations independently following departmental protocols and established procedures. Provide quality patient care while ensuring all radiation safety standards are observed.

Accountabilities:
Perform all radiography examinations (when needed) scheduled utilizing appropriate radiographic technique and positioning protocols.
Monitor and document staff performance.
Coordinate staff work schedules.
Coordinate patient flow to ensure promptness of exams.
Coordinate preventative maintenance requests. Document all activity including service calls.
Provide input on department capital and operating budgets.
Make appropriate, independent decisions when Director or other management/administrative personnel are not available.
Maintains the Radiology quality control and assurance programs.
