Position Requirements:
Graduate of approved School of Sonography.
4 ~ 5 years experience in ABD/OB exams
Skills in endovaginal and endorectal scanning.
Skills in high risk OB scans.

ARDMS Registered
Registered in ABD/OB
CPR Certification
Nuchal Translucency Certified.

Moving of equipment for bedside exams

Attend annual in~services on fire safety, infection control, to meet department safety requirements


If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
To independently perform a wide variety of invasive, non~invasive general, and OB procedures by utilizing a wide variety of sophisticated sonographic equipment to aid in the clinical diagnosis of disease to record and document images, history, and other pertinent clinical, information for analysis and interpretation by maternal fetal medicine physicians.

Accountabilities:
Documentation of patient history, and images for analysis and interpretation.
Ensures an organized, secure and safe patient and work environment.
Provides technical support for smooth and efficient operation of Ultrasound Department.
Responsible for staying abreast of the latest ultrasound developments.
Performance of a comprehensive array of sophisticated non~invasive and invasive procedures demonstrating the appropriate anatomy under investigation.
To produce quality sonograms demonstrating the anatomy and physiological presentation of patients internal structures for the diagnosis of the presence or absence of anomalies.


Addendum:
Job Description Addendurm for Ultrasound Technologist in Maternal Fetal Diagnostics. Scope of care Adolescent and adult pregnant and non~pregnant women. Frequent procedures, services, and processes: Performs adbdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds on high risk obstetrical patient in the outpatient setting. Scans include Level 1, Level 2, Repeat US, Biophyscial Profile, Nuchal Translucency, and assists physicians with amniocentesis. Provides patient education to high risk obstetrical patients.
Mandatory Education: Completes Code Pink~Infant Abduction yearly education, ARDMS certified, Certified Nuchal Translucency. Knowledge and competency of Digisonics US reporting system.
